About RT Beverage
Thank you for taking the time to read and take interest in our small, family-owned MBE business. I started RT Beverage over 13 years ago out of the garage of my home as a 2-man operation (my son and I). My intentions were to develop a nonalcoholic beverage distributor that would exemplify the highest standards of service, while offering the widest range of quality products at competitive prices.
As a small, MBE distributor, the beginning years were difficult. Competition is very evident in the beverage industry and it was not until we established our niche within the healthcare market that our disposition improved and expansion and progress followed.
In 1995, RT Beverage (RTB) opened its first hospital account (Christ Hospital) where we serviced all of the beverage needs within its cafeteria. In 1996, we added Rush St. Luke's and Lutheran General Hospital and by 2002, we were serving over 50 hospitals. In this time, RTB continued to have a strong foundation as a beverage distributor and also developed into a full service vending operation, office coffee service and water cooler distributor.
Unlike other companies in this industry, the majority of our growth has been through referrals and word-of-mouth by directors of hospitals and corporate decision makers realizing what we do will benefit others in similar situations in desperate need of a positive change and forward progress. The only time I actively seek business is when I am confident we will be able to successfully service it to the standards I require.
Today, while we are still dedicated to all facets of our business, we are very excited about our new venture:

Our Commitment to Service
RTB currently services over 45 hospitals, as well as a variety of corporations, small colleges, and other large-scale accounts in the Chicago land area through cafeteria, vending, and office coffee operations with nearly 500 active customers. Service is the foundation and the backbone of this company. With all of my customers, I have always promised that we are the best at what we do, no exceptions. We service every large-scale account six days a week, including holidays. Because we send an employee of RTB to accounts with such frequency, we have helped create many jobs locally for people that are willing to meet our guidelines of service. While this may not maximize our income, it does produce extreme customer satisfaction.
In collaboration with service is the immense variety we use for our product line. This is extremely important and unlike other competing vending and soda companies. Our loyalty will always be aligned with the customer, not any one specific brand. We will never push any one specific product but rather will provide any product that meets the desires of our customer. We only use top quality products and with this approach of service and product-line, have aggressively developed the best commission structure and competitive pricing in the industry.
Success and the Future
It is true that we are a small company. As we have grown, RTB has established an extremely strong and loyal customer base that all have allowed us to demonstrate our service. We will not take on a project knowing we cannot service it to our potential; a potential that embraces the highest standard of excellence. . I am personally involved with each account making sure that everything that they require is adhered to, allowing me to guarantee that our prices are the most competitive and our commission structure is the best in the entire vending and coffee industry. RTB offers the widest variety of cold drinks, juices, milk, beverages, snacks, coffee, fresh and frozen food items. Together we can customize a program to provide customers with the highest quality of office and home coffee, cafeteria beverage operation or vending.
